July at Camp

We decided to spend the month of July at the camp. There has been a lot of rain of late and we are hopeful the pond is up. I finally got there on the 3rd, Ray on the 8th, due to various home/lawn issues. yeesh! Weather has been wonderful. A mixture of sun and short rain storms, lovely to nap while the rain pings on the metal roof. : )For Independence Day I did Sparklers and grilled a steak. And watched the Capitol celebration! We finally got a little antenna that gets 3 PBS channels. Free! Charlie and Gator are both with us this time. Gator gets slowed down a little and has trouble going "hunting" as the grass has grown to 2 feet and the vines grab him. Darn those measly 10 pounds. He has free reign though, and still loves it! I have a new temporary part time job! Entering pilot logs for a friend. whoot! We've seen Great Blue and White Herons, Cardinals feeding their babies. Bluejays, Hawks, Tufted Titmice, Wrens, Chickadees, doves and have pretty pink flowers blooming around the perimeter of our section of the pond.
Sparkler!!
