Denver Woot!

Just got back from a short 4 day trip to Denver. We had a great time after the flight from Daytona. Which was the flight from Heck : ) they were late, we missed our connecting flight, but could have made it if they hadn't made us wait till last to get off. Made worse by the flight attendant who assured us she'd called it in and we would be all set. (while she let the others who were connecting to Denver get off 1st) :(
The 1st night we finally got there by 8:30 and went for something to eat, we couldn't find much that didn't close at 3pm. Guess there's a clear line between lunch and dinner restaurants. The next day we found 16th st.
The travel deal we got had us staying downtown Denver right next to a neat shopping/food district The 16th Street Mall which IS 16th street. Lots of food and street vendors, free shuttles that go up and down both sides.
At the Appaloosa Grill we had a great meal with great acoustic music, afterward we met one of the duo outside and turned out he was the owner, 1 of 5. Nice guy, even asked us to critic the food.
At our hotel there were several conferences so we got to enjoy some free entertainment like Ziggy Marley up close and Montel Williams, who moderated a Denver mayoral debate there.
At one point we got a little tired of the city and took the light rail train out to the end, just to see some mountains and scenery. Lots of snow topped mountains in the distance, they were just ending ski season. When we got there it was 70 and the next morning it was snowing! Pretty strange weather! Ray had to buy a jacket.

How would you like to be in that office?

Lots o Pedi-cabs!
