There and Back Again

Well we had another great time sailing the ocean blue. Grand Cayman, Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico then Roatan, Honduras. Met a lot of great people, drank, ate and slept too much. I got to swim in the pool for the first time because they have a lift. Woo hoo! Another surprise was Barry Williams aka Greg Brady of the Brady Bunch was on board with his son. Ray got up on stage and was taught the Brady shuffle. Of course I COULD have volunteered (they have a lift to front row and stage)but it's much more fun watching Ray.

In Cozumel we were able to get a van with a lift that brought us on a tour of the city, over to San Gervasio Mayan ruins, to Senor Iguana's cantina which sits right on the beach. When we got there it was packed with guys watching the soccer game on the one 32" tube tv set out on a chair. There was a lot of cheering and groaning! : ) Best shrimp cerviche ever AND the best views with little palm umbrellas dotting the naked(nude)beach and huge, turquoise waves crashing on the shore!

Bakers on the kitchen tour.

Sculptures in Costa Maya.

More drinks at Bandito's in Costa Maya!!

HANGIN' with the GREGSTER!
These were our table mates. A couple from DC, Orlando and Cleveland, Ohio. We were a fun loud bunch!
Stilt houses in Roatan next to the bar we had beers in.

Roatan, Honduras
Our guide, Clifford in Roatan guarded me from the traffic, walking in the road is not unusual there. We checked out Honduran beer, haggled for a lovely hand-painted chest and generally enjoyed the bartering and good humor. We missed out on Maya Key tho which is brand new and all accessible. (so they say) I think we got a better feel for the culture being hustled around by a local. : )

Melody and Frank, we had a great time hanging out with them, Melody went in the pool with me while the "smokers" sat on the edge. They also introduced us to a new card game called 5 Crowns. I have to go find it on-line now, it's great fun!

Woo Woo in the pool!! Right up until the crew-member-led tween group jumped into the "adult" pool for relay races. :(
Roll-in shower with bench.
Cabin #3104 bathroom vanity.
Public rest room vanity.
Automatic doors all over, including IN the public bathrooms.

You guys were the best thing that happened to us on this cruise. We just loved being with you, it was just so much fun with you folks. We often wonder why we have to leave home to find such fun people, but glad we did. I hope you are still planning on going December 18th with us on the Carnival Dream - this time, we are taking shore excursions together and planning it, ok? Best wishes guys, we just love you and can't wait to see you folks again.
