This weekend we went over to our local fairgrounds for a rodeo put on by the Volusia Cattlemen's Association. We've never seen so many people in shorts wearing cowboy boots. Must be a fashion statement in their world. But Jeez! anyone who wants to meet single girls needs to check out a local rodeo. It seems like there were a lot more girls competing than men. Except for the bucking bulls. Barrel races have always been dominated by women (remember those days Sue?). There was greased pig chases for the kids and several competitions concerning dragging someone on a grain filled bag and picking people up at a dead run. Very Amusing. It seems like the horses are a lot smaller than I remember. Maybe it's like the deer down here in Florida that are about the size of big dogs.(Great Danes)

Ray made some friends at the rodeo. At first it was crowded so they HAD to sit down in front of us. Afterwards there was 5 feet of clear fence space on either side but they would always come right over and plunk down in front of Ray. He has that charm. : )

I love a good rodeo. My favorite is the bull riding of course. I try to go to the local pbr event every year. Hopefully, some yr I will get to the PBR finals in Vegas. That would be a blast. :o)
