Kate&Barb go to Jacksonville

I feel like I spent the whole weekend in Jacksonville and in fact we sort of did!
Our friend barb and I attended the Women of Faith conference this year and it was inspirational and hilarious all at the same time. They had a lot of speakers we were familiar with from the last one we went to in 2006 including Patsy Clairmont, Marilyn Meberg and Luci Swindell. Plus we got to see Max Lacado speak and hear Sandi Patty sing. Max Lacado writes a lot of good books and Sandi Patty has been an award winning gospel singer for years. We stayed over Friday night and were out having wine, Lobster Bisque and Spinach salad at 11pm. I guess the food at the conference wasn't too good. : )

On our way to Jacksonville we stopped at St.Augustine for lunch and to hike around the 1st Catholic complex in the US where the 1st mass was held by Father Lopez. Quaint little prayer chapel and lots of headstones from the 1800's.

On Sunday we went back up to see "12 Angry Men" a play with Richard Thomas (John Boy Walton). EXCELLENT play and I usually don't like dramas much but these guys were good!
