The last 2 weekends Ray and I both went on 3-day weekend church retreats called Walk to Emmaus. We came home filled with the spirit. Really quite an enlightening event but can not say too much about it just in case anyone else on our blog veiwers list will go in the future. All I can say is that it is multi-denominational and most go women on one weekend and men on another. The hardest part about that seperation is being totally out of contact. No cellphones.
You can get more info and find out if there are any walks in your state by going to http://www.upperroom.org/emmaus
I would recommend it to anyone with a desire to be more involved in their religeon.
Monday night we went to Belly Buster Monday at Jackie Robinson Stadium where the Chicago Cubs farm team plays. They were on a 2-game winning streak which they increased to 3. Always nice to have them win when we go! ; )
Our friends Cathy and Taylor as well as Julie and George went with us. I had been complaining a little about the "back of the bus" type disabled seating but Julie loved it because she got a real close-up look at the guys on the other team. wink, wink, nudge, nudge. I never thought of it that way. : )
I've been going to therapy for my tennis elbow. Nice to have an accessible van to take me over there. At least for the 1st 2 weeks.
