Life in the slow lane

Well it's been a busy 2 months! Poor little Gator is exausted from our trip to Baltimore for the family reunion at Rays' brother Orems place in Pa. Our old van started having some problems so it has been updated to a 2013 model. Black was not our first choice of color, especially in Florida, but it's not like we had a lot of choices. So now we are working the bugs out. Speaking of that we visited the local Baltimore Toyota dealership to ask about a couple of issues we had on the trip up. Ended up speaking to a young man named David. We mentioned that we had a reunion to go to in Pa the next day. David said he and his wife were going to one also? He asked us the name and we said "Abels" and he said no, his was Kiem. Ray's mothers maiden name was Kiem! So we met them there the next day. Small world. Stayed at a lot of different hotels. the Motel 6 had this view out the window. It was really neat when the sun set on it but I didn't get a pic. Found out when we left it was the Conestoga Wood Factory. Some folks from Orem's car club came to the cook out. Gator would follow anyone going to check them out. Then he couldn't get back up the hill. : ) The Abel's siblings, Oremie, Joanne and Ray. Their parents were very much missed this year! Still doing Hospice once or twice a week. Ray is on a break right now. I'm also still doing Caregivers Day Out at the church. Ray and I will be going to DC at the end of July to go to a conference for people with disabilities. This year is the 25th anniversary of the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Working on a new cover for their brochure.
