We've been keeping pretty busy these days. Enjoying the beautiful sunny, 80 degree weather. We went to the Volusia County Fair with Bruce, Cathy and Taylor. Got to enjoy some lovely fair food like turkey legs, sausage sandwiches and frozen ,chocolate covered cheesecake. YUM!
We went to the beach to watch the shuttle Endeavor take off for the last time. It was packed up there to watch the event.
On Sunday the pastor asked all the vets to stand up in a circle around the church. There must have been over 50. It seemed like nearly all the men got up. It was a touching and thankful moment.
As a member of the Mayors Alliance for people with Disabilities in Daytona we were asked to tour the new police station for accessiblity purposes. It was fun seeing things like the darkroom and new CSI lab. I almost got kept in this new accessible cell. : ( kidding.
