Our Beloved Dolly Dog

1992-2007

A sad day on Friday when we lost our Dolly dog. She has been going through some very hard times for quite awhile and was back to infecting another spot from chewing. She has had skin irrritations for most of her life but as she aged they began to take more of a toll on her. She has been deaf for about 2 years and not able to keep much food in although she still had a voracious appetite. Probably because it came back out. She seemed to age really fast once it started. She lost muscle mass and you could feel her little backbone. About a year ago she had a major stroke and that really set her back.
We made the terribly hard decision to have her lifelong vet come to our home and help us send her on her way to save us a spot in heaven. Yes. we believe pets go to heaven.
We feel blessed to have been able to have her for as long as we did. As some of you know she had a serious bout with cancer when she was nine and we didn't think she would be with us much longer. At 15 she had a good long life for her breed, a Bischon Frise. We are still very sad and miss her terribly. Gator is lost without her. She was a good companion.

Oh no poor lil dolly. :o( She had lots of love and a great life. I'm so glad I got to see her when I was down in May.
